BACK WITH A VENGEANCE!!!

Watch this before reading this post.

Yes, yes, I know. Cheap? Yes. Stupid? Maybe. Ridiculous? Absolutely.

I was driven to my breaking point. Let's face it:

1. I don't get paid to make videos, and YouTube has actually told me that I will never receive any type of revenue for my videos since I have a Copyright Strike.

2. I do NOT have time to make videos. Period.

3. The majority of my viewers would not have dare committed themselves to the painstaking work that I used to do for YouTube, especially with few incentives and little time to do it.

My account was stolen and I didn't create a new one, because I realized I really didn't have time to make videos.

I do not miss making videos, but I miss you guys. I enjoyed the opportunity to talk with, and entertain you guys, but I simply can't make videos on a regular basis.

The video says it all. PM messages to me. And yes, this is the real Zombamazomba...

Today I tried to go to Youtube and sign in, but I couldn't. I tried to reset the password by putting in my username. It said a password reset thing would be sent to my email account. I checked my email; no password reset. I then put in my email address and asked Youtube to send my password. Youtube said that my email address did not exist in the Youtube system. I tried every email I have ever had. Nothing. SOMEONE HAS STOLEN MY YOUTUBE ACCOUNT. They changed the email and password for the account. I contacted Youtube and they said that they would check out the situation. I don't know what's gonna happen, my account might be recovered back to me, my account will be deleted by Youtube, or Youtube won't do anything, I do not know what's going to happen. Since I can't recover my account, I can't sign in to Youtube. Until the situation is resolved, videos are suspended until further notice.

Hey guys, so if you haven't yet noticed, my videos will now be on Metacafe as well as YouTube! Don't worry, I'm still posting all of the videos on YouTube, I'm just also uploading them to Metacafe. There seems to be no MCS videos of any kind on Metacafe, so I thought that this would be an interesting chance to explore a new site.

Other than that, not much else. I still haven't decided what the next regular MCS video will be, probably MCS Sucks at Teabagging in Halo, because that requires game footage and therefore will take the most time (this is the perfect opportunity to work on it, because I have some vacation time).

Hey guys, I'm uploading this Chief Show early, because I'm gonna be busy tomorrow.

I posted the results of Season Four Voting on the Voting video. I was lucky that there were no ties for the ten-spot, so I didn't have to come up with a tiebreaker. You can view the top ten most voted topics, as well as the complete results in the comments section of that video. All I can say is Season Four is gonna be a wild ride, buckle up...

The new season will start in about a month, and I will release a season trailer in the next week or so. The season will not start with one of the voted suggestions, but instead it will be a suggestion that I promised a certain user two years ago.

Hey guys! So this is the new Chief Show. I decided to stick with the guest host thing, since most of you seem to like it. George Carlin for this episode! I know it was a little controversial bringing him back from the dead and all, but I'm fine with it because I know the man, himself, wouldn't be angry.

Next Sunday, there will be a video allowing you to suggest two topics for season four. You guys will then vote on the best ones, and the top ten will be made into videos.

So how about the NCAA tournament, quite a few shockers already! I'm kind of getting my ass kicked in my bracket pool, but hopefully I'll rack up some points. Number one prize in my pool is $500, yeah!

So that's about it, I finally moved my furniture around so that both my laptop and my Mac are on the same table. I used to have to run back and forth when making complicated videos, getting music for them, etc...

As far as I know, Master Chief Sucks at Getting Married is blocked worldwide because of Lionel Richie copyright infringement. LOL. I'm attempting to get rid of the block. Also, I deleted the third episode of the Adventures of 47 and removed the link list from the blog. This was due to more copyright infringement, asshole UMG.

Hey guys, I know some of you have been waiting for this for weeks. Here it is, the finale of Master Chief Sucks Season 3!

Finale Description: "Over a year in the making, Master Chief Sucks Season Three comes to an end. Master Chief's Hawaii vacation is unexpectedly extended by the addition of a new baby to the family! Master Chief must deal with the news, as the family prepares for the baby in the only dysfunctional way they can. Will this baby tear the family apart, or bring them together? Find out in Master Chief Sucks at Having a Kid!"

Here we are. Wow. I don't know what to say. Ten videos (depending on whether you count the Christmas Special as part of season three or if you count two-parter videos), and over a year in the making. That's right, this season started in 2008. Amazing, huh? I think that this season is my best season so far, but that's for you guys to decide. I worked hard on the finale to make it live up to the hype. I included everything I could think of, as far as preparing for a baby goes. That meant alot of time on Wikipedia looking up Pregnancy, lol.

The video ended up being split in two parts, first is about 7:30, second is about 6 minutes. It is the longest video I've ever made. Anyway, I really hope you guys enjoy it. I definitely enjoyed making it.

So, here goes the acknowledgements. First, UltraHyperShadow. You never say a single bad thing to me and you've always been supportive, even when I didn't believe in myself. I know all of that sounds really cliche and cheesey, but it's true. Thanks man.

Hey guys, what is up? Nothin' much to say this week. I watched the Olympics hockey final between the US and Canada. It was a great match, though a heartbreaker. Weird coverage of the closing ceremonies, but I watched the Marriage Ref after (starring Jerry Seinfeld, one of my favorite comedians of all time). It was pretty good, but Kelly Ripa and some other woman from the Today Show were on it, and they kinda ruined it for me. Not horrible, but anyway.

So, the next fanmail will be on Monday. Then, drum roll please.... MASTER CHIEF SUCKS AT HAVING A KID!!! Okay, I overreacted a little on that one. Anyway, it will be on Wednesday and I hope you guys enjoy it. Also, I'm gonna come out with a video allowing viewers to send in video suggestions for the next season, in a few weeks.

Hey guys, I was sick this week, but I'm feeling better now. I apologize if the fanmail episode is not up to par. I can sense that some people are curious as to why their question is not being featured. Here are some "do not" guidelines for fanmail:

Do not make a question too specific to a certain topic that others won't be interested in.
Do not give me a multiple choice question, try for long answer-type questions.
Do not ask a question about a question or topic that has already been completely covered in another fanmail episode.

If you are not featured, try again with a different question. I try not to show bias when picking questions. Asking me to feature you, or giving me a compliment does not guarantee that one of your questions will be in an episode.

The finale has been layed out and partially finished. It is two parts, first is 7:30 long and the other is about 6 minutes long. Again, it will be up on March 10.

Hey guys! So here is the new Chief Show, it's totally loaded. First, it's over five minutes. But it has Chief announcing his candidacy for President and even a guest host! My best friend, GunSlayer360 suggested an idea for a guest host, so I went with it. I'll probably do one for the next episode, too.

I'm working on laying out the finale of season three. I'm glad you guys liked the trailer! I realized that many of you were complaining about the video not being uploaded until March. I'm sorry guys, the video is just so huge, and I'm one guy. With some series, one video is made every few weeks, and there could be multiple people working on it. Remember, I make a video each week, plus the regular MCS videos. I'm just one person. I also have a normal life too. I work hard during the week, spend time with family, and make these videos. Some days, I don't even have a minute of leisure time. So anyway, I hope you guys understand.

So Fanmail 37 will be released on March 8, 2010 (Monday). The finale will be released on that Wednesday.

Trailer for Season 3 Finale

Trailer: Master Chief Sucks at Having a Kid

Here is the trailer for the finale of season three! It is just a short 1 minute-plus video. As per usual, none of what you see in the trailer will be in the actual video. So really, it's not so much a trailer as it is a preview of what kind of humor you can expect.

The finale will be in two 7-minute parts. I decided I will release it on Wednesday, March 10. I will release the normal Friday video of that week, Fanmail Episode 37, on Monday of the week. This will allow each and every subscriber to see the season finale before I upload my next video.

So that's about it, my friend, GunSlayer360, suggested that I have a guest celebrity host on the Chief Show, so I'm gonna have Howard Stern host the next episode. Look forward to that!

Hey guys, here's the new fanmail. It's another long one, 5 minutes in length. Questions from dancingzita, SmashBrawl347, needler117, and Josephthecrazyguy.

The trailer for MCS at Having a Kid will be up on Monday, so stay tuned for that. Because the finale is so massive and requires so much work, I'm giving myself an extra week or two to work on it. Right now, I'm looking to make the video available on Wednesday 3/10 or Friday 3/12. I plan on releasing the normal friday Fanmail/Chief Show on Monday, and then uploading the finale the same week, to make sure that each subscriber gets to see it before the next Friday video shows up in place of it, on their Youtube homepage.

I wrote the script for the finale this past weekend. It is the biggest script by far, with a total of 120 audio files, the most ever. (The closest I've ever gotten to that is 88 audio files for the Christmas Special.) The video will be split into two parts, with each part about 6-7 minutes long. It chronicles tips from the Chief, Cortana's labor, pregnancy classes, Chief building a crib for the baby, and more. I tried to put in every conceivable part of Chief and Cortana preparing for a baby.

So that was a mouthful, but that's it. So yeah, trailer on Monday. Still don't know how exactly it'll look like, but w/e. Okay, see you guys later!

I realize that getting featured isn't a big deal anymore, since now thousands of videos are featured rather than a select few like before, but I realize that MCS at Getting a Job, MCS at Fishing, The Adventures of 47: The Hotel, and MCS at Getting Married were featured today. It's not a big deal to most, but I've never known any of my videos to be featured, so it's pretty cool!

The Chief Show: Episode 8 - "Epic Fail"

Another massive episode... Damn, I gotta stop doing this crap. This episode tops the last one at over 6 minutes! It was a pain to work on, but here it is. I uploaded it on Thursday, 'cause I'm busy tomorrow. I could've uploaded it yesterday, but I wanted the subscribers to see MCS at Birthdays, before this video shows up on their Youtube Home Page. Hope you enjoy this Chief Show!

I wanna clear something up too. You may notice that Chief doesn't react any different to Cortana, even though she's pregnant. This is because the Chief Show and Master Chief Sucks videos take place in two different universes. Chief Show has its own storyline, regular MCS has its own, and Fanmail has its own. Maybe when Chief's child becomes older I will put him/her on one of the other series. But for now, different storylines for different series!

On next Monday, there will be a trailer for Master Chief Sucks at Having a Kid. Haven't exactly decided what's gonna be in there yet. I'm thinking about Chief puking over the live birth, but I haven't decided yet. I may want to do a joke about the birth, in the actual finale.

Master Chief Sucks at Birthdays

Episode Description: "The second-to-last video of season three! It's Cortana's birthday and Master Chief attempts to make her birthday cake. During a surprise birthday party, Chief realizes he forgot Cortana's present and runs to a jewelry store to get it. When he gets there, a man tries to grab the same gift and gets in a fight with Chief! While recovering from the fight, Cortana drops a bomb on Chief that he did not expect!"

Here it is! Second-to-last video of season three. The finale of the season will be Master Chief Sucks at Having a Kid. It'll be some Monday in March. I'll have a trailer for the video out before then.

This video was a mash-up of the ideas MCS at Karate, and MCS at Making Cakes. Both were suggested and voted on for season three. I promised to do them, but they were too short alone. I combined the ideas for this video. Also, jayive34 suggested Master Chief Sucks at Grocery Shopping that I promised to do. UltraHyperShadow made the video MCS at Shopping, so I asked jayive to give me another suggestion that I will make for season four.

I'll write the finale this weekend, and I already wrote the next Chief Show.

On to other news, last Sunday was a disappointing TV day. The Pro Bowl was as uncompetitive as ever, not to mention that many great players from the upcoming Super Bowl did not play. Also, the Grammys were disappointing. No performance from U2, Coldplay, Paul Macca, nothing.

Still a cool week, though. Lol :)

Alright, I got a lot to say, so here we go. First, I stumbled upon a website called iStardom.com. They rank online celebs by their Youtube video views, subscribers, Myspace and Twitter followers and more criteria. I'm not saying it's government-run, but it's pretty accurate. It's ranked 24,000 online people. Just for fun, I submitted my youtube channel and blog to it. After a 24-hour ranking day, it placed me as the 2,426th most famous online entertainer out of 24,000. Some might say that's pathetic, and they're probably right, but I'm very happy about it. You can view my iStardom profile here. There's some weird stuff on there that I didn't put there. For example, there's a poll asking how straight I am. Lol. It was automatically put there. By the way, in case all the "fag" jokes haven't given you a clue, I'm straight as a board. Please vote for the "very straight" option. Lol.

Next, I changed the way I link my videos in my posts, as you can see.

Also, I now write who my videos were inspired by, in the info section of each video. I know that the dumbasses who say I'm a rip-off are not smart enough to look in the info, but I'll do it anyway.

The next regular video will be Master Chief Sucks at Birthdays. I realized there were two more suggestions left in the season 3 voting: Making Cakes and Karate. These videos are too short by themselves so I'm combining them into one episode. It takes place on Cortana's birthday. This is the second-to-last video of season 3. As you can imagine, there is a segway into the finale - Master Chief Sucks at Having a Kid.

What's up, guys? Long time, no see. Thanks for letting me take off the holidays, I really had a lot of fun and relaxation. Here is the fruit of my labor. The video plot is Chief wanting to host a New Year's party in Hawaii. Some things go horribly wrong, and Chief feels like he failed as a party host.

I've run into a speed bump while trying to figure out the next video. I've been doing suggestions from the Season 3 Voting. Now, the remaining topics that I haven't done videos on, were either voted on only once by the guy who suggested the topic or not voted on at all. Some of the topics are very trivial (MCS at Playing Soccer, Karate), some were already made by others(MCS at Grocery Shopping), and some were already covered during other videos(MCS at Swimming). I don't want to break my promise to do all the topics, so I'll figure out how to combine the topics into one episode. After those, my finale for season 3 is here. MCS at Having a Kid.

Still no news on the CovieHuman55 Impersonation thing.

I contemplated making some Rock Band videos for the dead SuperAgent0007 channel, but the horrible quality of my capture card is too much to get by. I will eventually get a better card though.

For some reason, when I went to the video, it said "An error occurred. Please try again later." I think that's just because the video is still processing, but if this problem continues, I'll upload it again.

Okay, there may not be videos during the holidays except for the New Year's Special, but here's my gift to you. Ready? Here we go. NO STATIC!!!
Yep, I tried something called an MPEG Optimizer in my editing studio. It gave me NTSC quality with out static! The audio sounds like it has slightly less quality than before, but it's hardly noticeable, and I only heard this because I was knitpicking. If you have a problem with the audio, message me on Youtube, but there's no more static!

Anyway, back to the episode. This show has two segments, instead of three, but technically there's a skit inside the news part, so there's really three segments. There's a Tiger Woods parody and a Holiday Survival Guide! Also, one of the news stories in this video is a true Youtube scam that my friend, UltraHyperShadow, brought to my attention.

Send in more fanmail for Christmas-themed episode 32, if you haven't already. Thanks to those who have sent theirs. I have 4 questions picked out already, but if there's another good one, I'll add it. You got until the end of the weekend to send in this episode's fanmail. I must then start work on the episode.

I will be writing the script for the New Year's Special this weekend. It will upload on New Year's Eve.

Just for fun, I submitted an application to the Youtube Partner Program. They didn't accept it, and their reason why was "Users who are accepted into the program must constantly follow Community Guidelines. Your account history shows that you haven't always done this." They said that because I had to pull an Angry Video Game Nerd best clips video. ScrewAttack sent me a copyright claim. Excuse my language, but this is bullshit. I put the credits on the video, yes I know that's still copyright infringement, but if anything, I was promoting the videos. Basically, I have been shut out from the Program, probably permanently, considering this AVGN thing was almost 2 years ago. Granted, the money is nice, but just the idea of not having a chance to be accepted while people like the IrateGamer were, is just embarrassing. Change or no extra change, I enjoy making videos, and will continue to do so. :)

I haven't heard anything back from YTube about the CovieHuman55 thing.

The questions in this episode, are a mix of questions I intended to do for this fanmail, back in May, and new ones that were sent to me in my absence. In order of appearance, GuitarnScythes, ajle9550, kamock45, and 666Superbeast666 provided the questions for this addition of fanmail.

Send me Christmas-themed questions! In case you don't know, there will be a Christmas -themed fanmail episode, number 32, on December 18th. Send me some questions about Christmas! Remember, even if you were featured this season, you can still send fanmail!

When I came back, the issue of the static in the audio of my videos became a huge deal to me. Now, I can barely watch the video with all the static. It must be even worse for you guys. I'm sorry and I'm working on it. I tried a new NTSC video type as a Privately-viewable test. When it was uploaded to Youtube, the video quality sucked and the audio (though it had no static) sounded muffled and of bad quality. Oddly, when I save my videos, they don't have any static. When I upload to Youtube, the static begins. It must be a problem Youtube has with Dolby Digital 5.1, which the NTSC audio is defaultly saved as. I'm pretty sure I can set custom audio settings, so I will try it in the future.

I officially announced my two week vacation during Christmas. Sorry, but I love Christmas. It's my favorite holiday and I refuse to work on that week, 'cept for the New Year's Special.

You may recall I talked about CovieHuman55 in the last blog entry. I filed an impersonation complaint, highlighting the videos in question and adding some additional info for Youtube staff. I did this on Wednesday, and I have yet to hear back from Youtube. I doubt Youtube will do anything, but Covie is at least blocked. He put his crappy, topic-stealing videos as responses to mine, but they no longer show up as responses and never will, again.

Master Chief Owns a Pet!

I realized I would be busy tomorrow, so here's the video one day early! (You guys know by now that my release dates mean almost nothing :D)

I deleted all the comments on the "Vote for the Next Video!" vid. I was dumb doing this, because now I have no idea who came up with the idea for Owning a Pet. If anyone knows, please message me and I will put his/her name in the info.

I believe there is another video call "Master Chief Sucks at Owning a Pet" on Youtube. This was made by CovieHuman55. Ironically, he is one of my biggest viewers and you can frequently see his comments on my videos. Covie stole the idea, along with multiple other topics, when I did my season 3 voting. I'm not so much mad that he made the video, as I'm mad that people will get his vid confused with mind. In case you're confused, mine's the better one. :) I will still make videos on the topics he stole from me, don't worry. I may have to release titles of my new videos only soon before they will uploaded, so douchebag here doesn't steal the idea.

There will be no videos on Friday, December 25 (Christmas Day) or Friday, January 1 (New Year's Day). I'm taking the holidays off. There will, however, be the New Year's Special on 12/31.

This was supposed to be uploaded on Friday, but I felt bad about delaying "Owning a Pet" and finished the video early so, Happy Thanksgiving!

Poll Results: Thanksgiving Special finished with 3 votes, Christmas was next with 5 votes, and New Year's Special won with 10 votes! Thanks to all who voted on the poll!

On a quick note, there will be no Chief Show on Christmas day or Fanmail on day after New Year's. I'm taking off the week of Christmas, except for working on the New Year's Special. There will be a Fanmail on 12/4, Chief Show on 12/11, and Christmas-themed Fanmail on 12/18. This fanmail will contain Christmas questions which I will ask for. Fanmail and Chief Shows will continue alternating Fridays starting the second Friday of January with a Chief Show.

Owning a Pet has a finished script. I will arrange the audio and pics soon. And, of course, the subtitles. I tried using a new caption feature from youtube to auto-place subtitles. Of course, it didn't work at all.

Updates and Stuff

First off, you may have noticed that I FINALLY recreated the image at the top of the page with Photoshop that I just reinstalled. I kept the ZZ logo but removed the circle around it. I added "Hundreds of subscribers and counting!" and "since 2007". Also, this version is cleaner than the previous one, and now includes Sam and Cortana. If you checked my blog in the last few minutes, you had the opportunity to see multiple images at the top of the screen as I was testing them. Lol.

It sucks to have to delay the very first regular video, but I can't finish MCS at Owning a Pet in time for this Wednesday. You will get it Wednesday, Dec 2. I'm sorry. I know I suck. This was due to me missing vital needs for my video. Certain music and sound effects, not getting Photoshop until now, and lack of time because of my uncle's visit this week. It's the first regular vid since I returned and I don't want to half-ass it. The first video will be the Chief Show next Friday. It is the biggest Chief Show I've ever made, clocking in at over 6 1/2 minutes. I will be working on videos through this weekend and next week.

In other news, I will be probably texting a new style of subtitles (writing full sentences instead of fragments) in a test video soon. This goes against my subtitle standards but if you guys prefer it, I'll use it.

Also, I stopped those who had been already featured in Fanmail from sending in new fanmail. That rule is now null and void. The next episode of fanmail will feature fanmail that was originally supposed to be in the last episode, over six months ago. Some mail I probably won't find, but I'll try my best.

I'm Back!!!

OK, let's start from the beginning. In May 2009, my computer crashed as you know. I had it repaired. It worked well, but the website for my editing studio was down, stopping me from downloading it. In June, the laptop crashed again (of natural causes, lol, not a virus or anything). I got it back again. This time the guy who repaired it wiped my whole hard drive. Three scripts including MCS at Gardening were gone. Also, the virus blocker he installed stopped me from opening downloaded programs. My laptop was a vegetable.

During these troubling times, I drifted away from Youtube. I stopped watching videos and just enjoyed the Summer. It was good at first but I missed making the vids. I finally "woke up" and realized that I couldn't leave this way. I started planning my return, got a new laptop, and here I am.

You may have noticed the suspicious code in my last blog post and as the title of the "Not Great, But Not Bad News" video. (Sorry, it was horrible news afterall.) See if you figured out the code in my newest video (link above).

I thank all of my friends and subscribers who stuck with me through these last six months of viewing hell. Sorry guys, I can't apologize enough. I don't blame you guys if you're pissed off. If you want to say something mean to me, save it for next week, when I declare "open season" on my comments section. I'm releasing a video with a detailed explanation, basically this blog post in a video, next week.

Ok, good news: the laptop was repaired and is working well. The virus is gone, no more threats. I have all my old files, including the script for what-would-have-been yesterday's fanmail.

Bad news: my background and start bar are in gray and blue, resembling Windows 97, even though it's XP. Speaking of it, XP had to be reinstalled. Regardless, even though I saved my files, I lost my programs needed for my videos, and need a week to re-download them safety.

Luckily, this is not a repeat of last September. It will all be ok. I, however, thought this problem was large enough for an official announcement since all of my videos will have a week added to their release date (add two extra weeks for the next regular MCS video, now 6/19 release date). Well, my laptop's got a virus. Yep. It's currently being repaired. Now, nobody panic. I won't even make this announcement official yet, because I'm not sure if I am totally screwed yet. Back From Vacation

Hey guys, I'm back from my cruise. It was awesome! I visited Ensanata, Mexico. I went to a traditional fiesta. Great food and Mariachi Band. Also, there was a window next to me, a horse kept pushing its head through the window, watching me. Lol. I toured the countryside, and my tour guide's uncle gave me a taxi ride to a flea market. Wow, I ate rice and beans with an animal, and rode in the taxi of someone's close relative, can't get a more authentic Mexican experience than that!

(I'm joking, sorry if I offended you.)

So far, 15 or so people sent fanmail. Thursday, there will be the first episode of the Chief Show. I can't upload it on Friday, 'cause I'm busy with prior engagements. Send fanmail if you haven't already. Episode 29 will be the Friday after the Chief Show.

I'm making the script for the Chief Show, and for MCS at Escaping Prison tomorrow. Should be good videos. For the Chief Show premiere, I'm possibly changing my prior title "The Easter Bunny" to something else, maybe. I'll see where the script leads me. I'm thinking of news, a talk about Easter with Master Chief, and an interview for the first episode. Future ones will have reviews, etc. Reviews will not always be comedic. I know this is like the third fanmail in a month that's late. I can explain. This week, every year, is always one of my most busy, stressful, work-filled weeks. I had something going on every day this week. Regardless, it's up and sorry again.

This video begins where Master Chief Sucks at Being the AVGN left off: Master Chief and his family are on a vacation in Hawaii. I chose to stick with the storyline. I was almost 100% sure you guys would have trouble recalling the vacation-thing considering it's been 6 months since the last continuation, so I put a little "previously on Master Chief Sucks season 3" thing at the beginning of Gardening.

Believe it or not, I was up at 3 AM last night, typing subtitles with a sore throat. The sore throat was joined by a runny nose today. Anyway, I will continue my work like normal. It's Super Bowl week! In my opinion, this is not gonna be one of the better Super Bowls ever, but hopefully it is. Relatives of mine have bets on the Steelers, but I'm gonna go ahead and say 31-21 Cardinals. Regardless, the Super Bowl is always a lot of fun. I hope I can shake my cold by then.

This fanmail went under may changes, first the question for this episode was supposed to be from o484, then RCMatthews93 and o484, then RCMatthews93, and finally triplesixdemon. These changes occurred due to various mistakes (mostly be me).

Since I got a day off today, I actually finished writing, found images for, layed out, and typed subtitles for this episode, today. Well, it's done. Some are likely to love this episode and some will hate it, I apologize.

Due to time-issues, MCS at Gardening won't be uploaded until Feb. 7, but don't worry. All of these waits will pay off in the end, with a new series!

Woot! Congrats to the new President Barack Obama. For those who missed it, the Inauguration was really cool and Obama's speech was the highlight of the day as usual. It's a little complex for an amateur like me, but so far, I love it. It did a great job of raising the quality of the video, unlike iMovie which actually murdered the quality and made it worse than it originally was. The hardest part of making the Hitman videos for me, should be coming up with ideas about how to get good ratings in the missions, which is a relief. All I have to do is record the run, do some slight editing, add some music, save the video, and upload to Youtube. Yay for simplicity!

Right now, I'm working out the kinks in the Rock Band runs. There is an ever-so-small delay between audio and video. That's fixable, but the occasional static I'm getting when I record with Dazzle may give me problems. Anyway, I'm working on the "Gardening" script (I made a full five minute script six months ago but it was on my crashed laptop). For fanmail this friday, questions will be featured from triplesixdemon. o484 and RCMatthews93 failed to respond to a message I sent to them, so I will have to stick them in episode 19 instead of 18.

Who are you? What do you do?

I go by the username Zombamazomba. I am a video-maker who hopes to become a video game designer. I make a variety of videos, most notably Master Chief Sucks videos. I have also made rant videos, machinima, and video game reviews.

What is a "Master Chief Sucks" video?

These videos star Master Chief from the Halo series. It is usually a how-to video. Master gives bad advice on how to complete simple tasks. The first Master Chief Sucks videos were created by DigitalPh33r; this is his "claim to fame". The videos were about Master Chief's troubles while playing Halo games. Since then, users such as NinjaAdventures and UltraHypershadow have changed what a Master Chief sucks video is; thus, bringing more popularity to the new genre.

Who inspired you to make videos?

My friend told me about Master Chief Sucks videos, and after seeing a few, I couldn't wait to make my own. I credit DigitalPh33r, NinjaAdventures, and UltraHyperShadow as my inspirations for my Master Chief Sucks videos. My game reviews were inspired by the Angry Video Game Nerd, Armake21, and Ebeeto. Ratchet1993 inspired me to make the "Adventures of Agent 47" series.

Why did you rip-off (insert user here, usually DigitalPh33r)?

I didn't rip-off anyone. I credit my inspirations in the information sections of my Master Chief Sucks videos. Are my videos similar to others'? Yes, but I credit everyone who inspires me to make my videos.

Can I borrow lines from your videos, for my videos?

Let me tell you, when I can inspire someone to make videos, it's a great day for me. But please, if you borrow a line from me, put my name in the credits or info. (Putting me in the tags doesn't count.)

What programs do you use to make videos?

I use a variety of programs. Since Master Chief Sucks at Seeing an Opera, I have been using Ulead VideoStudio to edit my videos. It has more options than Windows Movie Maker, but is very simple. I use a program called Verbose Text-to-Speech to record the synthesized voices for my videos. You, however, can get text-to-speech voices already on your computer if you have Windows XP or Vista. Go into the control panel, then sounds and audio, then speech. You should have Microsoft Sam (Master Chief) as your default voice. You have to download the Microsoft Mike and Mary voices to get the voices I use for Sam and Cortana. This download can be found with a simple Google search. I have used Intervideo Home Theatre and a Gamebridge in the past to record game footage for reviews and my Adventures of Agent 47 series. I however don't recommend the Gamebridge, the video quality is bad and the device crashed on the second laptop I installed it on. Lastly, I use Adobe Photoshop to make special images. How do you write your subtitles/what programs do you use?

I type my subtitles in Ulead Studio. I listen to the characters' voices to find a cue point, select my pre-made subtitle overlay, type my subtitles, drag into the timeline, shorten up the title to the cue point and repeat. Subtitles take me a while to finish because I try to type in large text so everyone can see it, and I don't like more than one line on the screen at a time. I also try not to spoil my jokes (joke in subtitle on screen before character says it).

What's "Master Chief Sucks at Fanmail"?

This is a series where Youtube users can send in fanmail and Master Chief will answer it in an episode.

Any rules for fanmail?

1. Limited swearing (May seem odd as Master Chief swears, but I don't want ridiculous profanity-fests like, "Why is fuckin' Sam such a shitty asshole?").

2. Send fanmail to me in a Youtube message.

3. Please send three questions maximum. If I use some of your fanmail, I will take one of your questions and answer it. In each episode, I will have 3 to 4 different questions from different users.

Yes, I had fanmail closed for a few months, but it is now open. If I don't answer your fanmail, or I did answer it and you simply would like to be featured again, you can send 3 questions each week.

What is the Chief Show?

It is a series that I created, in order to have more freedom with my video ideas. In this series, it is the set of a news show with Master Chief as the head anchorman. In addition to talking about real-life news stories, I throw in a few sketches each week. These may be interviews, movie/game reviews, or other fun skits.

What happened to The Adventures of Agent 47, Zomba's Crappy Reviews, Halo 3 Shorts, AVGN: Clips to Remember, and Useless Gaming Stuff?

I have scrapped alot of series, and I'm infamous for it. Basically, if I see a series isn't going well, I tend to end it, unless I really believe in the series. I ended these five series, and also have removed all of my game reviews, and the Useless Gaming Stuff series, mostly because I was embarrassed by them. I left the one Halo 3 Short I made, and The Adventures of Agent 47. AVGN: Clips to Remember is a different story. These videos were removed by a copyright claim from ScrewAttack, the AVGN's former website. I was furious, because I credited the copyrights, and if anything, I was promoting the AVGN, not stealing from him. I was especially angry because there were many AVGN videos that didn't cite copyrights, that weren't taken down. I digress.

Sometimes I see an ad to buy an iTunes song, on your video. What's up with that?

Youtube's audio-identification system has found some excerpts of songs I have in my videos. They put an ad for the song on my video. It is, in the end, a copyright issue. I have claimed Fair Use, but I have yet to here back from Youtube. So for now, sorry about the ads.

Can you help me make a video?

Of course I can. I just ask that you please write the script for the video. Do not ask me to make a complete video and let you upload it.

Any new series?

If you've followed my videos for a while, you know I create new series often. There is always some new idea I'm looking to pounce on.

Some tips for an upcoming video-maker?

Do what you want to do. Make the videos you want to make. If you face ridicule, keep on going. Never lose confidence. Don't let mindless idiots tell you that your videos suck. Set high expectations for yourself and stick to them. Who knows, you may be writing your own F.A.Q. soon!

What's up guys? Hope everyone had very Happy Holidays! I did, I got a brand new MacBook! (It's the one in the Mac commercial that runs on a quarter of the power of a light bulb.) It's awesome! Lots of cool features, but let's get to what you want to know about: videos.

After careful consideration, I decided to use my laptop to make Master Chief Sucks videos because of a lack of programs for the Mac. (My relative got a new laptop and let me have the interim laptop I was using.) As for other videos, I will try to make them on my Mac. I played with iMovie a little and it looks certainly less simplistic than Movie Maker. It also unfortunately looks more linear too, but time will tell. I'm looking at getting Final Cut for the Mac as the Angry Nerd uses it and, with the special effects he uses, it must be good.

I will be posting an F.A.Q. soon. Also, once I get Pinnacle Dazzle Video Game Capture for the Mac, I will start posting videos on my new SuperAgent0007 account. It's on Youtube, but I won't really use it until I make a formal video announcement on my regular channel. Fanmail sixteen is coming up on Friday, and fanmail will continue every Friday. Look for MCS at Gardening around January 30th.

That's about it, fanmail sixteen is finished except for subtitles. I finally finished the AC/DC Live Rock Band Track Pack today on Expert Drums. (Let There be Rock was insane!) It was alot of fun though. Anyway, hope you had fun on New Year's Day and didn't drink too much, just kidding! :D

Interesting Story: Three times I was given "an unknown error occured" message and a failed upload on this video. After trying to upload again, I went into my videos and saw "MCS Christmas" with 4 comments and a 5-star rating already on it. Lol. Apparently, Youtube secretly sent the video live with the default title I put on the raw file. I had to edit the title and info, now it's fixed.

So, this is my gift to you (your gift to me can be a nice comment and 5-star rating, lol). Hope you like it. Don't get lazy, please watch it in high quality. All it takes is 6 taps of the keyboard and a click of the mouse. The video looks excellent better than it did when I was making it in Ulead Studio.

"MCS at Updates" Almost Done; Special Thanks

Hey all! MCSaUpdates is almost done. All that's left is for me to type subtitles. I am picky with my subtitles only allowing seven or eight words on the screen at a time, rather than a whole sentence, in order to prevent jokes from being spoiled (joke on screen before character says it). Because I'm so picky, one video minute of subtitles takes me about 30 minutes to type. The video is approximately 4 minutes (and 16 seconds) long, so that makes for about 2 hours of typing. Yay... :( I hate typing subtitles. Anyway, look forward to the video, it is half update - half funny parts. I apologize if you don't find it that funny. It is meant to update people on why they had to wait three months for a video, not to be a typical vid. My writing is average, I haven't wrote a script in three months. Anyway, hope you like it! (Wow, I was like Debbie Downer there.)

Special thanks to UltraHyperShadow who fulfilled my need for the image of Sam I couldn't find. Thanks a lot! You rock! If you haven't checked out his videos yet, I highly recommend you do. (They inspired me to make videos.)

HEY GUYS! GUESS WHAT, (Insert Bad Pun Here)

I know, take a moment to get over the shock, I updated the blog! Let's start out with a few explanations.

LAPTOP SITUATION-
Laptop was fixed, then crashed again, and now I've given up on it. I'm using a different spare laptop, a relative's, which he has allowed me to create videos on, and download programs on. I plan on getting a MacBook very soon. I've never had a Mac before, but from what I've heard and seen, it is the ultimate "accessory" laptop, designed for maximum entertainment and all the goodies a YouTuber could want. I can't wait to get it.

VIDEO SITUATION-
I hope to release a trailer thing this week, and return with a bold Christmas Special. Then I will continue where I left off with season 3. Regarding Fanmail, I think I will set a specific day for the upload of new episodes (probably Friday), and am considering asking some people to combine their questions with others' questions into one episode, that way I will have only 10 episodes to do, rather than 20. This could also allow for people to see their questions featured a lot faster, though I won't make that decision without the approval of you guys. Regarding other series, I hope to, by popular demand, restart my "Adventures of Agent 47" series with a new twist and a more polished look. Other than that, I don't want to chew more than I can swallow considering I am just starting to make videos again, and my writing is likely very rusty.

Oh unjoy, my laptop crashed for the second time. This very well maybe it for the computer. I sent it with someone to get it fixed, hopefully it is fixed. I returned from Aruba Saturday, great vacation. I rode on a WaveRunner and did this crazy thing where I got on a raft and had a boat pull me around the ocean at 40 mph! Yeah that kinda hurt my neck... Anyway, here's fanmail 13!

P.S. DigitalPh33r must get mad with all the rip-off MCS at Halo vids on Youtube. I don't like people using my ideas and not crediting me. Wow, I can't believe we made it. We're already in our third season together. That's nuts. It's like it was yesterday when I saw my firsst Master Chief Sucks vids, and released "Going to the Movies". Now, here we are, 14 MCS videos, 9 fanmail episodes, 5 series, and a load of hard work later. No matter how much work, it's been fun every step of the way. Thanks goes to all of you who supported my work, lived it, loved it, even when it wasn't the best it could be. Thank you all. It's truly been a wild ride so far, and I'm coming to get on it yet again for a third season. I think this makes me the most prolific MCS video-maker ever (meaning I released more Master Chief Sucks Videos than anyone else.) In addition, I'm the second-longest running Master Chief Sucks video-maker who still makes MCS videos. (My friend, UltraHyperShadow, beat me by about three weeks. Even though I actually have been on Youtube longer, only by a week though). I don't think I'll ever get the number of views his "Master Chief Sucks at Ordering at Mcdonald's" video got, and rightfully so. He came first.

Anyway, in conclusion, I enjoy making these videos, and I hope you enjoy watching them.

Info - I'm going out of town to Aruba for a va-ca from August 3 - 16. As a result, no vids during those two weeks, and the next video might be delayed as well, because I'm not gonna get to work on it 'till I get back. Unless I take my laptop with me... (Don't count on that though, because airport security is tough, and international airport security is even tougher. I doubt I'll be able to pass through all of those security checkpoints and immigration lines with the laptop.) Sorry for this, fanmail will be once a week after August 16, too because I'm goin' back to school in August and my time to work on videos will be cut in half. (Interestingly enough, I thought about the idea for the fanmail series back in April, but thought that with school, I wouldn't have enough time to do it, hence the fact that it started in the Summer.) Alright, that was a mouthful, or handful I guess, because I'm typing it, but that's all I got to say.

Sorry about the horrific quality of these last few vids, it's not my fault. When I make the vids they look great, but when I convert them to .wmv format so I can upload them to Youtube, the quality is murdered. I discovered a secret, add "&fmt=18" to the address when watching a video and hit refresh. The quality gets alot better. In fact, I tried it on this episode and it looks almost as good as it looked in the editing studio I was using. Unfortunately, I can't make the default Youtube video address have "&fmt=18", so you guys'll have to add it when you watch one of my vids. I'll put a reminder at the beginning of the vids. First, we'll start with the bad news. My laptop became infected, and it won't let me enable cookies, so I can't upload videos. Also, it often crashes and hardly works. The date of when it will be fixed is unknown to me right now. Luckily, I didn't lose too many scripts and videos, but the next two fanmail episodes are on that, one of them is completely finished, but I'm having trouble even copying it on to a new computer. If you haven't realized already, I've been accessing my youtube page and writing this from a relative's computer. So, I don't know when new videos will be uploaded, sorry.

I worked hard on this and really pushed it to the max. Providing YouTube doesn't cut a few seconds off the video, the vid will be 9:51 long. That means that I would be approximately 10 seconds from not being able to upload this, due to size.

This video had to have a lot of storyline, and I tried to include as many gags as possible, but with this type of vid, there may not be as many laughs as a normal MCS video. I tried my hardest, please so cut me some slack.

This is the season 2 finale, season 1 ended with Rescuing His Son. Have no fear, there will be more full-length vids in July, I'm hosting a poll via Youtube to decide the season 3 opener.
